Sadly, during the study โ published in Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience, the man had a sudden heart attack and diedโฐ๏ธ
Data was collected during his death โ and showed that 30 seconds either side of his final heartbeat, there was an increase in gamma waves โ a type of brain wave associated with dreams and memories๐ญ
It has led some scientists to argue that life really does flash before our eyes before we die.
