Assisted suicide โ€“ where someone is given the means to end their own life, is now legal in Austria ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ’Š

There are very strict criteria:
โ€ข Adults must be terminally ill, or have a permanent debilitating condition.
โ€ข Two doctors must assess the case ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ
โ€ข Minors and people with mental health conditions are excluded
โ€ข Patients must wait 12 weeks to reflect on their decision (or 2 weeks if they are terminally ill)

After this time, they are given a prescription for lethal drugs.
