When Charlene McGregor sadly died at the age of 41 in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, she was taken to the morgue. The family were told it would take a bit longer than normal to release her body because of covid.

When they contacted the hospital 6 weeks later, it was found Charlene was still lying in the mortuary โ€“ completely forgotten about.

Having been in the freezer for so long, the post-mortem examination into her unexpected death was inconclusive. NHS Greater Glasgow are conducting a โ€˜Significant Adverse Eventโ€™ Review. Thanks to PJL Laurens for the photo.
