Paralympian Olivia Breen hit the headlines this week in a controversy over the shortness of her shorts πŸ©²

Livvy has cerebral palsy – a lifelong condition that affects movement and co-ordination. CP is caused when a baby’s brain πŸ§ does not develop normally before they are born, or is damaged during or soon after birth (though this is much rarer).

It affects 1 in 400 live births.

There is no cure, but there is a lot the medical profession can do to help the comfort of people living with the condition.

Some critical illness policies include a payout if your child is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.
