The correct answer is Lord Peter Wimsey – the fictional detective of Dorothy L. Sayers (or to use his full name Peter Death Bredon Wimsey as recorded in the novel ‘Murder Must Advertise’ published in 1933.) Despite my profession, I am rather relieved that my parents didn’t decide to name me ‘Death’!
